What you need

Servings not specified in the family recipe.

  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • ½ cup confectioners sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 1¾ cups sifted all purpose flour
  • ½ cup chopped nuts

How to make it

  1. Cream butter and confectioners sugar until fluffy.
  2. Blend in vanilla and flour; stir in chopped nuts.
  3. Chill several hours for ease in handling.
  4. Shape into 1" balls and place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350° for 20 min.
  6. Roll in confectioners sugar while warm.
  7. Makes about 6 dozen.
