Why we love it
1The oldest wine region in Bordeaux. Saint-Émilion is the oldest active wine-growing area in Bordeaux. The Romans planted vines here, and the medieval village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
2A family estate since 1880. The Bertrand family still runs Château Vieux Lescours. The blend is classic Right Bank: 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
3A legendary vintage. La Revue du Vin de France called 2022 a “vintage of the century,” and Saint-Émilion in particular excelled.

How does a wine increase sales by 204% in what is considered by many to be a tough Bordeaux market?

By being what I genuinely believe is one of the best Bordeaux wines on the planet...for less than $20 a bottle.

As far as I can tell, there is no Grand Cru Saint-Émilion wine currently available in the US at this price. There is no wine even sniffing this quality level at this price.

US retailers sold the 2020 vintage of this wine for $44. Over a decade ago Wine.com sold the 2012 vintage for the low low price of $35 (HERE). Not to talk about inflation, but $35 in 2012 and now I can buy it for $17.99 in 2026 and the quality has gotten better? Is this real life?!?!?!
