Villa Gaubert Rose
It’s rosé season because it’s warm and getting warmer and rosés are cold and citrusy and tangy and refreshing and, well, once they’re properly cold, they’re delicious. Did I mention that they need to be cold? Dominique Haverlan bought the old Château Gaubert in Portets in 1988, which was then in ruins. He made it into something important, but he didn’t’ forget to make wine that you will want to drink at a reasonable velocity. That’s what rosé is.

Chablis for win!
Yes it is delicious Pinot Noir on SALE for $9.99
For $9.99 this is easily the most insane rosé option available to you maybe in the United States. The only issue is the wine is only released once a year, and we only get 150 cases.
But it has finally arrived!!!! I shared a bottle with friends last night and it continues to never disappoint.
Why do I love this one so much?
Dominique Haverlan bought the old Château Gaubert in Portets back in 1988, when it was little more than a shell of its former self. He rebuilt it, vineyard by vineyard, barrel by barrel, until it became one of the quiet gems of Graves. But the man never forgot that wine is supposed to be something you actually want to drink. That philosophy shows in every bottle he makes, and this rosé is no exception.
Made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon (super unique!) grown on the estate’s gravel and clay soils, this rosé has a texture and energy that set it apart. It’s pale and precise, with just enough structure to remind you that Cabernet is involved, yet still crisp, citrusy, and refreshing from start to finish. There’s a whisper of red fruit, a flicker of grapefruit zest, and a clean, dry finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.
And yes—serve it cold. Really cold. Rosés like this reward a bit of chill; it sharpens the edges and wakes everything up.
At $9.99 a bottle, it’s the kind of wine that makes you double-take when you taste it. A Bordeaux rosé with pedigree, personality, and perfect drinkability?
Yes please.
Pretty sure it's the weekend?! Right? 😂
