Robert Goulley Chablis
Chablis has seen frost, hail, and heat in recent years — but 2025 brought balance and generosity. Robert Goulley nailed it: ripe, fruit-forward Chardonnay layered over that classic Chablis chalk and stone. It’s fresh, bright, and ridiculously easy to love. The big names hog the spotlight, but this is the kind of authentic, terroir-driven Chablis insiders grab first.

Sometimes wines just take off like a rocket ship and we don't even have to mention them...
Case in point? Robert Goulley Chablis.
We've featured the wine in a newsletter just TWICE, once back in 2023 and once in 2025, and ever since then it has been seemingly on cruise control. Just this year alone sales of this wine are up an insane 73% year over year.
Those of you who know it, love it. Those that don't? They usually learn quickly 😂
Chablis has had a wild ride these past few vintages — frost, hail, scorching heat, sometimes all at once. The 2024s were survivors of a difficult season, giving a sharply reduced harvest, but 2025 brought a very different story: an early, warm year, yet generous in yield. It produced fresh, fruit-forward wines with structuring acidity that are easy to love right out of the gate. Some critics called it a “delicious” vintage of clarity and balance, though one where the best producers really separated themselves from the pack.
That’s where Goulley comes in.
From the fossil-rich, Kimmeridgian limestone hills that gave Chablis its legend, Robert Goulley crafts Chardonnay that’s equal parts old-school minerality and new-world charm. In 2025, he nailed the balance — bright, aromatic fruit layered over that unmistakable Chablis backbone of chalk and stone. It’s the kind of bottle that makes you ask, “Why isn’t everyone talking about this already?”
The big names like Dauvissat and Raveneau will always draw the spotlight, but producers like Robert Goulley are what make Chablis so thrilling today: authentic, terroir-driven wines that punch way above their weight.
We’re lucky to grab some. You should too.
So let's keep it short and sweet this Tuesday, am I right?
Chances that I will be drinking this tonight? 💯
