Virely-Rougeot Bourgogne Rouge
With red wine holdings mostly in Pommard, Virely-Rougeot tend towards lighter extracted wines, with little concern for color, and more of a focus upon nerve and longevity. This bottling is more tangy than heavy and will do wondrous things with some grilled salmon. Just a suggestion. It’s not like we’re coming over to your place for dinner.
Cary Potet Bourgogne
Though this domaine’s claim to fame is Montagny, they have traditionally produced Pinot Noir as well, and the new owners have applied their centuries’ long experience to craft delicate, gentle red Burgundy. They are organic, hand-harvested and the wine sees mostly used oak with long settling in tanks to preserve those delicacies: roses, strawberries, bing cherries and mushrooms.
Willowlake Pinot Noir
Finally! A wine that rivals Belle Glos at a much friendlier price point. Pinot lovers unite!
Domaine Priou Pinot Noir
François et Jean-François Priou mostly grow Sauvignon Blanc along the River Cher; their Touraine Sauvignon Blanc is a great value. Certain places that didn’t used to be able to ripen certain grapes are finding it easier to show off. While you might not think of the Loire Valley for Pinot Noir, it’s routinely grown there and, if you haven’t had a chance to drink any of the ethereal versions of the grape in this region, now it’s your chance.
Benieres Pinot Noir
Fresh and fruity Pinot Noir from the Pays d'Oc, a region warm enough and varied enough to allow even persnickety Pinot Noir to find its happy place.
T. Solomon
I am willing to put my professional reputation on the line here and tell you that this may be the best sub $40 Pinot Noir you are ever going to try. Ever.
Pinot Noir P/N
Put together a bunch of passionate kids (some with backgrounds selling wines for legends such as Eric Solomon and Martine Saunier) deeply immersed in the California biz and you can find some pretty tasty wines. That's what they did and that's what we have here.

We absolutely love all things Pinot Noir, so we obviously decided this weekend was a great opportunity to put together a HUGE Pinot Noir tasting! I mean why not, right?
As you can tell above, we've tried to put together a pretty awesome lineup on the machines for you this weekend. Burgundy titan Virely-Rougeot? Check. California icon Kosta Browne? You bet. Belle Glos? Sure. #1 seller in the store Benieres? Obvi. Multiple blind tasting champion Willowlake? Yup.
It's basically a Pinot lover's dream.
We'll also be featuring some NEW Pinot Noirs to winestore. from the fine folks at Domaine Priou (Virely is new too!).
Per the usual, we'll also be running some specials on a few others in this lineup, so if you find yourself with a little extra time on Saturday, we're gonna need you to come on by and have a taste with us!
As always, THANK YOU for your business. We are humbled by your support and strive to do right by you all each and every day!
We hope to see you this weekend and Happy Tasting!
